XILS LABS has just released the Xils3 software synthesizer,  a recreation of the great EMS VCS3 Modular synthesizer from the 1960’s.  This synth was used by Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Brian Eno amongst others and well known for its individual character and unique experimental sounds.

I’ve programmed some factory presets for this software version,  and was very impressed by its sonic salute to the past.  Ive included sounds for bass, ambient soundscapes, noise and experimental sounds, and new for this structure are polyphonic sounds.

This program is a lot of fun to experiment with and the sequencer section alone is worth the price.

Greetings to all electronic friends from around the world! Here is our art space and music environment for you to wander around in.

Here are some examples of my Art work, paintings, lithographs, drawings, etc.,   I wrote some music clips for the artwork, to be played in the background at very low volumes, so as not to impede.

In the MUSIC section are a few of the Records I have done.  These are MegaMix collages of these records. The lyrics to some of these can be found in the NEWS section,  on the right hand side bar.

a Philosophy-

‘today we live in a society in which spurious realities are manufactured by the media, governments, celebrity, corporations, misinformed web sites - and the electronic hardware exists by which to deliver these pseudo-worlds right into the heads of the reader, the viewer/listener

This bombardment of psuedo-realities begins to produce inauthentic humans very quickly, spurious humans - as fake as the data pressing at them from all sides.

Fake realities will create fake humans or, fake humans will generate fake realities and then sell them to other humans, turning them eventually, into forgeries of themselves.

What I am saying is that objects, customs, habits and ways of life must perish so that the authentic human being can live.

And it is the authentic human being who matters most, the viable, elastic organism which can bounce back, absorb, and deal with the new’

This has all been expressed before.

Programming and testing is being done for a new software synthesizer that emulates a great modular beast that has been a favorite of mine for years.   This thing performs and sounds amazing,  and Im very excited to program for this company.   As you know, Ive done a multitude of sound designing for various Hardware and Software synthesizers,  and this one has got me excited all over again.   I will let you know the details and post some examples of this great beast when we can finally present it to the public.

here’s an interview I did with the Legendary Pink RockX for a great Music magazine in Japan. This is some of the interview translated.
Q1: Why did you decide to use the song ”Medicine Man” to be on our “OMNIBUS CD, that is included with the magazine ?
We are to use ‘Medicine Man’ as our kind of first single, and we feel this is the best song to introduce our band to the world for its simple but powerful guitar riff, and a very strong vocal chorus.  Its a lot of fun to play Live as well.    When the song starts you just want to crank up the volume, man
Q2: What is the meaning behind this song?
could you tell us obviously?

‘Medicine Man’ is the term used for a Healer/Shaman, and people generally seek them to help
resolve issues they have,  and the most common issue i see is when a boy/girl relationship
goes bad,   and that is the case here with this song.  I think many people can relate to this.

Q4: We’re curious about the equipment that was used in your recording of this song.  could you tell us the  main equipment?

We have a pretty simple setup for a Hard Rock Band. We use Marshall Amps, SVT Bass Rig, Thrust Drums, guitar synth, and a psychotic vocalist.  When we record, we are all in the same room recording together to get a band vibe,  and that shines through all the way to the record.    I always stress that Band Chemistry is the most important element in Rock music,  and I think its more attractive to the listener, even though they might not know that is how it was recorded

Q6: What kind of listener do you want to hear your music?

Anyone who digs Rock Music should listen to this, it is unique in its style and its not quite like
anything else you’ve heard.  It mixes the influence of older L.A. punk with Modern Rock,
and the Lyrics are very visual and imaginative.  So the listener is open to translate the songs in
their own personal way.

Q7:If there are any Sex Tapes projects that you have planned for the future.
Is it possible for us to hear about it?
Yes, we are trying to complete some visual work, like videos etc,  and we are playing Live shows in
Hollywood,  and also we have written some new songs to be recorded,  which I hope
we can complete soon.  I like the old style of when bands would put out a record at least once or twice
a year. It keeps a momentum going and is good for band chemistry and for the fans.

Q8:Would like to leave a message for your Japanese fans?

We absolutely Love Japan and the fans there.   The people there are so considerate for one another and know how to interact with others to make a better society, … the entire World could really learn from the values that you’ve established there.

This Site and Music are dedicated, in Reverence, to the great, Walter Cronkite. The greatest TV personality/news commentator ever.  He was a man’s man, and a Voice of Authority,  that is respected by all who have followed him.  When I was young, and when he was on TV,  if he had said to ’sit down, and shut up’  I would have done so, with no words back!

We finally got our zhit together and did a live gig,  of course under the name of FREEPORN,  as we are testing the waters, so to speak.   But it went really great despite a few technical difficulties,  but hey,  thats why its a test gig.   But all in all it went great and the crowd was fun and crazy.    Can’t wait to do it again,  This is addicting.   With the Holidays coming,  we will gear up to start playing more in January.

We have a show scheduled Feb. 5th at the Key Club in Hollywood, with Pygmy Love Circus and Sturgeon, this time under the name of SexTapes!
