XILS LABS has just released the Xils3 software synthesizer, a recreation of the great EMS VCS3 Modular synthesizer from the 1960′s. This synth was used by Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Brian Eno amongst others and well known for its individual character and unique experimental sounds.

I’ve programmed some factory presets for this software version, and was very impressed by its sonic salute to the past. Ive included sounds for bass, ambient soundscapes, noise and experimental sounds, and new for this structure are polyphonic sounds.

This program is a lot of fun to experiment with and the sequencer section alone is worth the price.
